We started the day with a reminder that we cannot sit in the chairs or on the couch. We went into the giver and learned that there are many other covers and shared our opinions on them. We finished looking at the covers and checked it off on our checklist. Skeleton Creek was next and we read until lunch. We ended the day with some giver work and we were off to eighth period. (I know that this scribe post is nothing special so I'm just going to say BANG!)

Welcome to Poetry Day! We started the day with a rather concise FVR. We were then taken to the library where we talked about a national poetry contest where the grand prize was 500 dollars. Everybody got excited. (It's all about the money, isn't it?) We were then given poetry books to read out loud. It had to do with poetry anthology, which Mrs. Farrell explained. Several kids read from their books. After that, we wrote blackout poems, which we accomplished by coloring in all but what we wanted to leave blank. Then, the bell took us off to lunch.

We started off our day with FVR. You had to ruin the comfy reading time in our hard seats, Mrs. Ott! Anyways, Eddy read his SS and showed us pictures of our blackout poems. Then Mrs Ott read us the RA book, Skeleton Creek: Ryan's Journal. We watched the first video again (Avra's FAVORITE ONE! ☺). Then we talked about the debate/Socratic seminar for the rest of the period.

We walked into class and read FVR. Then we had our Socratic Seminar. BRING!!! We went to lunch next. We came back to the Socratic Seminar. We then commented on answer garden for feed back about the Socratic Seminar. We then read Skeleton Creek and watched a video. Two minute count down! Time to go.

We come into class and silently slip into our stationary seats for FVR. After FVR, or should I say if you wanted to, you could work on The Giver. "Mrs Ott, I need help." Or, "Mrs. Otttttt." - The entire class. Mrs. Ott was being bombarded with questions. Bell sound.

(Read in Stich Voice) Hello. Today we started off with FVR immediately! Whee! Then we pretty much instinctively did Giver work, because Mrs. Ott gave no instructions. Otherwise we would be sitting around doing nothing. That was the case for the rest of the day. Bye!

We started the day with FVR, then going into students scribe and PoD. The PoD was about Adam and Eve, and highways, and lawnmowers, and candy, and pizza hut, and microwaves, and corn. Apparently it related to earth week. Somehow. It was a song. A very interesting song. We read Skeleton Creek and watched an emotional video about cyber-bullying. After lunch, we went into Amazing Grammar Race

We started the day with FVR going into a missing student scribe (I found it) and a PoD that actually made sense, about Earth Week. After that we tried to start finishing up Amazing race. We were off to lunch and came back to read Skeleton Creek. We started our new book work for the rest of the period and we were off to ex-block to paint rocks. Happy Earth Day!

We started the day with FVR and carried on doing so until lunch. When we came back we decided that I would be scribe for the third day in a row. We then watched the movie 2081, based on Harrison Bergeron. When that was over, we went back to either FVR or The Once and A Future King. And we were off to ex-block.

We started off the day with FVR and grabbing our OAFK books. Although we took our books, we ARE NOT ALLOWED TO START IS YET. Then we did Mrs. Ott a favor by turning in our livebinder checklist into edmodo. Then it was time for Skeleton Creek and another creepy video. Then we started reading The Once And Future King as a class. After lunch, we finished chapter one of the book. We then toured Carolyn’s Classroom and when we came back, we split into our Amazing Grammar Race groups and tried to finish until the rest of the period.

Today we came in and sat down. Just glorious, right? Nothing fancy, just came in and sat. Then I decided I was going to hide in Mrs. Ott's closet, and see how long it would take for her to figure out that I was hiding behind the curtains. As I was standing there, Izzi read her student scribe post and the POD. Next, Mrs. Ott found me and we read the end of skeleton creek. #SAVESARAANDRYAN. Next we picked up our OAFK books. We read for the rest of the period. Then Mrs. Ott told us that the minute the bell rang when we came back from lunch, we would pick up where we left off, and we would finish the second chapter.
